The office will be closed on the 6th - 8th April due to company activities. This means that we will not be able to carry out express assessment orders throughout week 14.

World Circular Economy Forum (WCEF) recognizes SundaHus as an inspiring example of a "Circular Economy Enabler". WCEF is an international event held once a year. Leading up to the annual conference, the main organizer Sitra decided to compile a global list of inspiring examples that contribute to a circular economy.

Polycarbonate plastic will soon get stricter assessments in SundaHus

Since the monomer bisphenol A, which is used to manufacture polycarbonate plastic, is now classified as a phase-out substance (classified as toxic to reproduction), products with significant amounts of polycarbonate plastic are soon going to get a "C +" - assessment in SundaHus Material Data. This change is expected to occur within the next 1-3 months.

New criteria for PVC to be released soon

The purpose of our new criteria is to open up the possibility for a risk perspective in SundaHus-assessments of PVC products. In the SundaHus current criteria, there are requirements on the residual monomer content for polymers built up of the phase out substances. In addition to this we plan to introduce corresponding criteria for processes associated with the manufacture of PVC.
